Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Statistics

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Georgetown University invites applications for a tenure-track position in statistics at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in August 2026. The department offers both undergraduate and graduate courses. Faculty members are expected to support all department programs. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to both teaching and research.
Candidates with expertise in statistical machine learning, statistical computing, or statistical methods in artificial intelligence are particularly encouraged to apply.
The projected salary range for this position is $109,068-$121,187, which represents the full range of anticipated compensation for this position. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
