Welcome to the Department of Mathematics and Statistics
Georgetown University’s Department of Mathematics & Statistics promotes research in pure mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics. Our faculty prides itself on its innovative instruction and curriculum, the interconnection of teaching and research, and the close working relationship between students and faculty.

Undergraduates can apply for the Accelerated Masters Program in which they can obtain a MS degree with one additional year of school. Additionally, we offer minors in both Mathematics and Statistics. Questions about our undergraduate program, including approval of courses, should be addressed to Professor Erblin Mehmetaj, Director of Undergraduate Studies.
We offer two Graduate programs:
For questions about the Graduate programs, contact Professor Ali Arab, Director of Graduate Studies.
