Advanced Placement

AP credit is awarded for specific mathematics and science courses and may satisfy all or part of the general education requirement.

Georgetown participates in the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Program and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program. College credit and/or course exemptions can be awarded to students with qualifying scores. Therefore, prospective students are encouraged to qualify for advanced placement by taking the Advanced Placement Examination.
